Try the Trend: Denim on Denim

The Canadian Tuxedo strikes again! Denim on denim is a big summer trend for 2014, especially in the celeb and blogger world. E!Online has a nice piece about how to work this trend, and shows some of their celeb favorites. I also like the pieces Who What Wear displayed in their Tip of Day on double denim. The Fashion Section also has some good tips on styling the trend.  And the always inspiring Pinterest has a mish-mash of trendy & classic ways to sport the trend. I was hesitant to give it a try (remembering the horror that is this early 2000s denim tuxedo by JT and Britney) but I took the advice of fashionistas out there, and took the plunge.

  1. It’s one of our all time favorite trends !! But nice twist by using a skirt instead of jeans… and the buttoned skirt is really pretty! Plus your matching jewelry and shoes did the trick 🙂

  2. Canada represent! I love the denim-on-denim trend – I’ve only ever tried it with different washes too – maybe we should challenge ourselves to put together an outfit with same-wash denim… ?!
